What do I need to get started?

Your broadband needs to meet the minimum requirements listed in What kind of internet connection do I need?

You will also need a VoIP compatible handset. If you don't have one, you can purchase a new one from our online shop.

What is VoIP?

VoIP is a general word describing conversations that happen over the internet. It stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. VoIP is commonly referred to as 'Voice over Internet' and 'Voice over broadband' as well. VoIP lowers the overheads for providers, resulting in really cheap phone calls for you, and free calls between you and other VoIP users!

Phone system died due to flooding in my shop but Belinda at MaxoTel went above and beyond to help us get back up and running. Prior to Maxo, we were with Telstra business and the difference between the services is immense. Maxo has short wait times for service, more lines available for multiple calls, easy navigation to change how calls are routed and is very inexpensive compared to Telstra. I cannot recommend these guys enough, top work all round and absolutely zero reason to look anywhere near else. Truly five stars

MaxoTel are an outstanding telco provider. Sure, they are not a big Tier 1 provider but they provide good service and a wonderful platform that is leading in its class. It makes managing client telco needs super easy and when its not your core business and you dont want to spend all day saving $5, the Maxo solution for whitelabelling is outstanding for IT providers that are interested in providing telco services for their IT clients.

Overall, I have been very happy with MaxoTel. The features of the online PABX are really comprehensive and easy to use. Phone routing, deskphone management, IVR and time switching are all really great features. I run a phone system with 70 extensions and a hundred or so phone numbers and there is rarely something that I cannot achieve with Maxo. Their support services are excellent. I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to get to an Australian human. They are super helpful and friendly and they all know what they're doing. Given a choice, I'd choose them again.
