SIP Trunking Features

SIP Trunking enables you to connect your existing on-premise PBX to MaxoTel’s VoIP Network. It’s a great way to access the benefits of VoIP, while making use of your existing investment in hardware. The SIP trunking service will replace your PSTN or ISDN lines with a SIP trunk, which utilises your Broadband Internet Connection.

MaxoTel SIP trunking is NBN compatible and requires no PSTN or ISDN lines. Your calls are made and received using your NBN or other broadband conneciton.

1. Check you have A SIP Compatible PBX

First and foremost, you'll need a SIP compatible PBX, or a or a PBX adapted to SIP.

Some PBX systems support SIP out of the box, while others may need a line card or SIP Gateway adapter installed.

You can learn more about SIP or find more details about our SIP requirements in our knowledge base.

If you're not sure if your PBX will work, please contact us and we'd be happy to check for you.

2. Check you have suitable Internet Connection

You'll also need a Broadband connection with enough bandwidth to support the number of concurrent calls you'd like to make.

ADSL2 and NBN connections are suitable for most businesses.

As an indication, an ADSL2 connection is usually sufficient for about 10 concurrent calls.

3. Select a Plan

Select a plan from the list below that suits your needs.

Our broad range of plans starts from 2 lines, ranging up to 70, so there's bound to be a plan that suits your needs.

What's more, we have no lock-in contract periods, so you can change plans at any time.
