Important information about MaxoTel NBN

  • Available to all subject to qualification

    MaxoTel's NBN service is available to nearly everyone, but certain conditions must be met to qualify. These conditions may include factors such as your location or other specific requirements.

    Service availability varies across different areas and homes. Although we conduct initial qualification checks for nbn service, further assessment may be necessary depending on the type of service offered (nbn™ network FTTP, FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, HFC, or FW) at your location.

    If we are unable to connect your services, we will try to reach out to you to explore alternative options. If we cannot contact you despite reasonable attempts, we may need to cancel your order.

  • What internet speeds can I expect from my plan?

    MaxoTel provides a variety of NBN® speed options across Australia. Our speed plans are categorized according to the theoretical maximum speeds available to MaxoTel through wholesale arrangements with NBN®.
  • What is a speed tier and how does it work?

    Speed tiers indicate the highest possible speed that can theoretically reach your home. The actual speeds can vary due to factors like network demand elsewhere, conditions within your home such as simultaneous streaming and gaming, and the placement of your modem. Check TES below for additional guidance.
  • Typical Evening Speed (TES) explained

    Typical Evening Speeds refer to the average speeds experienced during evening hours, specifically between 7pm and 11pm.

    These speeds are not guaranteed, and past performance should not be relied upon to predict future speeds. Factors such as your access technology (modem/router), network demand (number and activity of users), local internet traffic (activity in your area), and the condition of your physical line (maintenance of infrastructure) can affect your connection quality and speed.

  • Cancelling your service

    To cancel or close your nbn service, please call us on 1800 12 12 10.
  • Can I use my own modem or router?

    You are welcome to use your own modem or router provided they are compatible. For a complete setup, you'll also require an nbn® connection box, and for Fixed Wireless services, an nbn® outdoor antenna may also be necessary.

Phone system died due to flooding in my shop but Belinda at MaxoTel went above and beyond to help us get back up and running. Prior to Maxo, we were with Telstra business and the difference between the services is immense. Maxo has short wait times for service, more lines available for multiple calls, easy navigation to change how calls are routed and is very inexpensive compared to Telstra. I cannot recommend these guys enough, top work all round and absolutely zero reason to look anywhere near else. Truly five stars

MaxoTel are an outstanding telco provider. Sure, they are not a big Tier 1 provider but they provide good service and a wonderful platform that is leading in its class. It makes managing client telco needs super easy and when its not your core business and you dont want to spend all day saving $5, the Maxo solution for whitelabelling is outstanding for IT providers that are interested in providing telco services for their IT clients.

Overall, I have been very happy with MaxoTel. The features of the online PABX are really comprehensive and easy to use. Phone routing, deskphone management, IVR and time switching are all really great features. I run a phone system with 70 extensions and a hundred or so phone numbers and there is rarely something that I cannot achieve with Maxo. Their support services are excellent. I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to get to an Australian human. They are super helpful and friendly and they all know what they're doing. Given a choice, I'd choose them again.
