Changing Your SIM Service Plan

Should your needs change, for example you require additional data, you can easily change your plan.

To change your plan, login to the My Account Portal and select Activate SIM Cards. Locate the service you wish to change and from the Actrions dropdown, select Change Plan.

Immediate Plan Change

Plan changes can be performed immediately if required, for example the service has used all available data.

Please be aware that an immediate plan change will incur the full up-front cost of the plan. Pro-rating of new plan charges or old plan credits are not available.

Some plan changes are not available as an immediate plan change. For example staying on the same plan quota but moving from Data Only Pooling to Voice and Data Pooling can only be completed as a scheduled plan change.

To perform an immediate plan change, select your desired plan and ensure Immediate is selected. Once done, the plan change will be processed - this can take up to an hour.

Scheduled Plan Change

A scheduled plan change takes effect on the 28th of the month, at the start of Telstra Wholesale's usage period.

Scheduled plan change requests must submitted prior to the 27th of the month to ensure they are processed.

By performing a scheduled plan change, the cost of the new plan is applied to the next month's invoice. This method avoids the additional upfront plan fee of an immediate change.

To perform a scheduled plan change, select your desired plan and ensure Scheduled is selected. Once done, the plan change will be queued for processing for the start of the 28th.
