2024 Holiday Period Information and Hours

As another year draws to a close, we have a few important things you should know:

  • Christmas trading hours
  • Number porting and network embargo
  • Free Christmas hold music for all hosted PBXs
  • A how-to for setting up a Christmas time switch

Christmas Trading Hours

To provide our team with some downtime to catch up with loved ones, our support, sales and accounts teams will be operating on a reduced schedule.

Number Porting Impacts

As most carriers also scale back their operations over the holiday period, any number ports may take a little longer than usual. Our team will continue to process newly submitted ports and track those in progress, however please be aware that the time taken from port submission to port completion may be slower, and that updates to ports in progress may not be available during this period. We expect that number port processing will return to normal in mid January.

Network Embargo

From 5PM, Friday 20th December 2023 through to 9AM, Monday 6th January 2024 we will not be performing any non-essential work on our network or infrastructure.

Free Christmas Hold Music

To bring a little bit of the festive spirit to your callers, we've made available a free Christmas hold music playlist to all hosted PBXs, including both MaxoTel customer and those of our Whitelabel Partner clients.

Switching this on is quick and easy - simply log in to https://my.maxo.com.au/ and select Hosted PBX then Hold Music. Click Change Primary Playlist and choose Royalty-Free Xmas

Setting up a Christmas Time Switch

If you, like many other businesses, are taking some time off over the holiday period, you may wish to setup your holiday opening times and play your callers a specific holiday greeting. This year, we've made it easier than ever!

A Message From Our Team

On behalf of the entire Maxo Team, thanks for working with us in 2024 and we wish you, your team and your families a happy and safe holiday period.

This year we launched NBN and eSIMS, several new products and new integrations. We also completed substantial upgrades to our network and voice platforms, which will allow us to introduce several key new features throughout the coming year.
