2025 Holiday Period Information and Hours

As the year comes to an end, we have a few important updates to share:

  • Christmas trading hours
  • Number porting and network embargo
  • NBN and MaxoSIM service Impacts
  • Free Christmas hold music for all hosted PBXs

Christmas Trading Hours

To give our team with some downtime to spend with loved ones, our support, sales, accounts and partner teams will be operating on a reduced schedule over the holiday period.

Number Porting Impacts

As many carriers scale back operations over the holiday period, number ports may take longer than usual to complete. Our team will continue to process new port requests and monitor those already in progress, but please note that the overall turnaround time may be slower, and updates for in-progress ports may be limited during this time. We expect normal processing times to resume in mid-January.

NBN and MaxoSIM Service Impacts

NBN and MaxoSIM orders and modifications, including MaxoSIM porting, will continue to be processed as normal.

NBN connections requiring field tech attendance may be delayed due to a reduction on the number of available technicians throughout the holiday period.

Network Embargo

To maintain service quality over the holiday period, we will not be performing any non-essential work on our network or infrastructure between 5PM, Friday 19th December 2025 and 9AM, Monday 5th January 2026

Free Christmas Hold Music

To bring a little bit of the festive spirit to your callers, we've made available a free Christmas hold music playlist to all hosted PBXs, including both MaxoTel customer and those of our Whitelabel Partner clients.

Switching this on is quick and easy - simply log in to https://my.maxo.com.au/ and select Hosted PBX then Hold Music. Click Change Primary Playlist and choose Royalty-Free Xmas

Setting up a Christmas Time Switch

If your business is taking a break over the holiday period, you may wish to set up holiday operating hours and play a special greeting for your callers.
